Santa Cruz Dance Week is an annual, week-long celebration held in April (April 16th–24th, 2026) that showcases the region's diverse dance culture through free performances, low-cost open classes, and community events. It features the "Dancing in the Streets" kick-off in downtown Santa Cruz, featuring hundreds of local dancers.

For 17 years, Santa Cruz dancers have hit the streets of Downtown for Dancing in the Streets. Join us as we celebrate the joy of dance and the strength of our community through an unforgettable afternoon of free performances in the heart of Downtown Santa Cruz from April 16, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
