Watsonville Brillante is a community mosaic project founded by artist and former teacher Kathleen Crocetti, inspired by her early experiences with mosaics in Italy and later study in Barcelona. Through the nonprofit Community Arts and Empowerment, local artists and youth collaborated to create a 12,500-square-foot mosaic installation for the Watsonville Civic parking garage, completed in 2024 after five years. Funded largely by private donations and business partnerships, the project also supports free youth art programming at the Muzzio Mosaic Arts Center.
